Project/Funding: Dearman gets funding to develop first 'liquid air nitrogen expansion engine

UK - A consortium led by the Dearman Engine Company Ltd (DEC) of London, UK, has won grant funding from the Technology Strategy Board (TSB), the UK's innovation agency, to build and test what it calls a 'liquid air' engine. The prototype engine is to be built for fitment on a refrigerated truck to provide zero-emission cooling and power during 2014 and for demonstration in 2015.
