Belgium/China - "I can announce today that we will be investing in a European bus assembly plant before long. Our philosophy is that we should open a plant once we have orders for around 100 ebuses from Europe. I'm pleased to report that that day is really near now so we are looking closely at attractive locations for such an assembly operation." These were the words of Mr Isbrand Ho, president of BYD (Build Your Dreams) of Shenzhen, China in a presentation (delivered in his absence by Martin Hayes of Automotive PR) at Busworld last month.
