Sweden / China - Following the strategic cooperation agreement signed between Sweden's Scania AB and the Higer Bus Co Ltd (formerly King Long Suzhou) of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China in March 2007, Scania has stated formerly that it will now be offering coaches with Higer-built bodies as a Scania global product to markets outside of China. This strategic move now gives Scania three distinct bus / coach brand names in its global bus and coach portfolio: Scania Omni range - its in-house built city (single, articulated and double deck) and intra-city bus range, and two cooperative partners producing coach products under the Scania Irizar and Scania Higer brand names.
