With the launch of the sixth-generation Nissan GT-R (Grand Touring Race), expectations are high for a sensational experience in the driver's seat. This is the first GT-R - referred to with the 'R35' designation - to be exported by Nissan for sale outside Japan. Although Nissan insists that the chassis architecture used for the GT-R is completely new, it is quite similar at its core to the architecture used first on the current 350Z, called Front Midship (FM). This isn't surprising; as the man in charge of FM development with the 350Z, Kazutoshi Mizuno, was then also handed the GT-R project. In this model, the chassis is referred to as PM (Premium Midship), and there are some unique touches.
