A generalized nodal Unite, clement formulism is presented, which covers vir-tually all known Huit.e ditlhrtuwv npiirox'mmtiom to the discrote ovdiuates equations hi slab pUHnnahry. This paper (hereafter referred to as Part II) presents the theory of the so-called "diwMiitinuoiM tnomwt methods", which include such well-known methods ns the "linear diHrtontinuouts" scheme. It is the, sequel of n llrst paper (Purl, I) where "continuous moment methods" ware presented. GortVNpondini, numerical results for all the schemes of both parts will be presented in a third paper (Part III).
