Simultaneous surveys ensure data collection efficiencies

Two boroughs in the north of England are working together with Lafarge Tarmac and data partner Caist to complete surveys for every road and footpath. Teams of highway surveyors have been traversing the road networks of the neighbouring borough councils of Halton and Warrington over recent months. Condition data is being downloaded and analysed as the surveys progress. Once the analysis is complete, in July this year, both boroughs will be well armed to decide how to arrest or reverse the deterioration of their highway assets.
