Deep recycling finding new fans

Highway authorities with failed carriageway and tight budgets are turning to deep recycling as a cost effective solution. Patching and surface dressing may be the road maintenance diet of the day (see News) but when there is an underlying failure the repair technique needs to be rather more in depth. One of the most cost effective options is deep recycling because it can convert the existing road construction via a cold in situ process into a new pavement with consequent savings on materials, vehicle movements and emissions.
