Glasgow cheers completion of vital M74 link

'Climactic' is not too extreme a word to describe the activity currently hurrying the M74 Completion project to a successful conclusion through Glasgow's East End. This keenly awaited section of motorway - 8kms long, extending the existing M74 westwards from Carmyle to the M8 west of Kingston Bridge - literally completes an orbital m'way nucleus inside the city. The new stretch of M74 opens on 28 June 2011.
