All eight of Crossrail's tunnel boring machines will be in the ground this year and driving forward. The railway's programme director Andy Mitchell speaks to Jackie Whitelaw. During April Crossrail tunnel boring machine Elizabeth will inch her way into the station box at Canary Wharf in east London. South of the River Thames TBM Sophia will also be breaking through into the Woolwich Station box on her way to tunnel under the Thames.
