Heavy congestion around a challenging traffic gyratory in Essex is to be eased with a new bypass, several bridges and a relief road through an existing roundabout. Sadlers Farm interchange near Basildon is a daunting road layout for the uninitiated motorist and can be a frustrating source of delay for regular users. Five routes converge at a huge traffic island, around which vehicles travel in both directions. And there are five mini roundabouts providing access to and from each feeder road.
