A new road is under construction north of Sittingbourne in Kent, short in length but vital for local business and easing of town centre congestion. Restricted height railway bridges, one way streets and heavy traffic through the centre of Sittingbourne can make for a difficult drive to the Eurolink industrial estate beside the north Kent town. Haulage firms based on site complain that poor access to the trunk road network affects business, and new housing nearby has added to congestion at peak hours.
