Every day we're faced with choices. You can choose to smile or you can choose to frown. You can choose to be happy or sad. We can trust and respect shop floor operators or we can push projects through without their help. My dad once told me, "You can't make an operation work unless the operator is bought in. One sure way to enlist shop floor operators is to respect and trust them. Don't patronize them. Explain the goals and expectations along with reasons for the project and the benefits to them. Ask for their help. Ask for their input. Ask about their concerns."
