摘要

This paper is a comparison between the wheel-rail forces for a Talgo type vehicle versus a wagon with two axles and a wagon with bogies. As a difference from the other railway vehicles, the axles of the Talgo type vehicle have independent wheels and a peculiar coupling apparatus of the wagons. In order to realize a relevant analysis, the vehicles are studied in similar conditions regarding the external forces acting upon the vehicles and the geometry of the curve, rail and wheels. The dimensions and the other parameters which influence the running in curves are also the same for all the vehicles taken into account. As an exception, for the bogie, the distance between the axes is different, because of evident reasons.
