Mad about Mooloolaba

An easy hour's drive north of Brisbane is the resort town of Moolooiaba on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. It's a well known holiday destination for good reasons, not the least an incredible array of tourist attractions plus accommodation options from camping to luxury five-star hotels. However, most importantly for the trailer boat fisho it is a coastal port and offers great fishing close at hand - virtually all-year round. And the attractions start even before you arrive. Heading along the excellent Bruce Highway you'll pass the beautiful Mt Tibrogargan. Ever since I was a boy I have been fascinated by its uncanny resemblance to a lumbering gorilla.
