The production of simple every day products often demands extremely high precision and a sophisticated technology. An example is the window wiper produced by the French injection moulding machine company Billion together with German mould and rotary specialist Weber from Esslingen at K 2013. An electrical machine as well as a precise two-component-mould and rotary-unit are combined to achieve a good result. Supplier of both the hard and the soft component of the window wiper is PTS Plastics-Technology-Service, Adelshofen. The PC/ABS Creablend-A45 and the Thermoflex 65A 1.2 thermoplastic elastomer have been selected to achieve a perfect hard-soft-combination to be processed in one mould. Moreover, the window wiper lip as well as the non-slip handle areas made of the TPE provide a pleasant to touch haptics.
