摘要

Experiments are reported on pulsed anode-cathode electrochemical machining of low-carbon steel in 1 M NaCl at pH 1.0 in the presence of insulating masks. That treatment greatly increased the localization of the etching (with DC processing, the etching factor EF approx 3.0, with anode-cathode processing, EF approx 6.0). A combined method has been used (the two together). The method provides more highly localized etching while maintaining a high rate.
