A MUNSTER SUCCESS!

Held over the weekend of April 29th -30th, 2006, the Tractor Show at the Munster Showgrounds organised by the Ford & Fordson Association, Cork Branch, saw 191 vintage, classic and modern day tractors from all corners of Ireland assemble to make this the largest one make tractor show ever to be held in Cork. Tony Doyle said: "It was December 2005 when I first contacted PJ Savage and Peter Simpson, editor of the 'Ford & Fordson Tractor' magazine, to discuss the possibilities of staging a Ford and Fordson tractor extravaganza in Cork. The decision was instant: "Lets go for it!" We chose the Showgrounds for the venue as they were close to Centre Park Road, the site of the former Ford tractor factory where thousands of Fordson Model Fs and Ns were built during the 1920s and 30s."
