Ceramic injection molding (CIM) has been recognized as attractive technique for the fabrication of ceramic parts. Binder systems comprise between approximately 5 and 40 vol.% of a given ceramic green body depending on the chosen forming method. In this work, the thermal decomposition behaviors of four binder systems used in CIM were investigated by thermal analysis.
