KENMARE: Post-Tax Loss For the Third Half-year in a Row

For the first six months of 2014, Kenmare Resources (headquartered in Dublin, Eire) reported a post-tax loss of $US 31.8 million on sales revenues of $US 81.2 million. This is the third half-year in a row when Kenmare has recorded a post-tax loss. For H2 2013, the figure was $US 33.9 million and for HI 2013, the figure was $US 10.2 million. That followed the best year in Kenmare's history-2012-when post-tax profit was $US 38.8 million in the first half and $US 10.7 million in the second half. In common with other mineral sands producers, Kenmare's profitability has been on a roller-coaster ride over the past few years.
