INDIA: KMML Reports Record Monthly Pigment & Synrutile Production

For the month of January 2010, Kerala Minerals & Metals Ltd. (KMML, of Chavara, India) reported a new record for monthly TiO2 pigment production - 3925 tonnes - representing 117.8% nameplate capacity utilisation.The previous record was 3910 tonnes, achieved in August 2008. Also during that fiscal year (to end-March 2009), KMML produced 3762 tonnes of pigment in March 2009. For the year as a whole, KMML produced 35,519 tonnes of pigment, compared against 35,221 tonnes in 2007/08 and 34,373 tonnes in 2006/07.
