AUSTRALIA:Austpac Begins Aus 5 mn Study for 30,000 tp.a.Synrutile Plant

Last October,Austpac Resources NL(of Sydney)signed two important agreements with Iluka and Consolidated Rutile Ltd.(CRL),with the aim of underpinning its project for establishing a 30,000 t.p.a.synrutile plant on the eastern seaboard of Australia,employing Austpac's patented ERMS-SR technology.The first agreement provided for the supply of 70,000 t.p.a.of raw high-chrome ilmenite by CRL as feedstock for the planned synrutile plant.
