SIERRA LEONE:TRG Poised to More Than Double Rutile Mining Capacity

Rutile mining in the Gbangbama region of southwestern Sierra Leone resumed in Ql 2006 after an 11-year break caused by the civil war and its aftermath.The Titanium Resources Group (TRG),headed by Mr Jean-Raymond Boulle,carried out a major refurbishment programme to bring the mine back into operation in Ql 2006.At about the same time,the nearby bauxite mine was also refurbished and recommissioned.
