Michelin launches 3 mining tires, upgrades earthmover tire system

LAS VEGAS—Michelin North America launched three mining tires and an upgraded version of its Michelin Earthmover Management System (MEMS) at last year's MINExpo International in Las Vegas. Among the new OTR tires is a line of underground mining tires called the XTXL, designed to provide operators of underground mining machinery greater productivity through higher load capacities; the XMine D2, a multipurpose tire used in underground mining or heavy-duty extraction operations; and the XDR2 for rigid dump trucks.
