摘要

Everything began with an extraordinary idea - and a camel. Old Joe, the camel that was actually an occasionally truculent circus dromedary, was - of course - the last individual to imagine that it would become one of the most famous 'models' in advertising history. Although the other parties involved -most of all Richard Joshua Reynolds -were focussing on the success of their idea, and hence their product, the fact that they would be writing advertising and marketing history in the process had not even crossed their minds.
