Number of competitive tender calls in the calendar year 2007 turned out to have been doubled as compared with one year ago by five major electric power companies of Korea Western Power (KOWEPO), Korea East-West Power (KEWESPO), Korea Southern Power (KOSPO), Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) and Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO). The number of those announced alone reaches 24 in total with the awarded tonnage totaling 12,650,000 MT exceeding by as much as 5,985,000 MT (89.80&) that in the calendar year 2006.
