Total Quantity Of Ferro-Alloys Imported Into Japan In 2006 Remained Unchanged From That In 2005

According to the statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, the total quantity of ferro-alloys, including manganese metal and silicon metal, imported into Japan in the calendar year ( January - December ) of 2006 came to 2,173,000 tons, which had a slight decrease of 0.1 percent compared with that ( 2,176,000 tons ) in the preceding year of 2005. The amount of ferro-alloys imported in 2006 was Yen 292,800 million, having fallen by 7.9 percent compared to that in 2005. The contents of the imports in 2006 were as per the table shown below.
