Surgical Simulation Centers as Educational Homes for Practicing Surgeons

Given the pace of change in surgery today and a growing need to decrease variability in the delivery of health care to optimize quality while minimizing cost, surgeons need an "educational home" where they can return to intermittently throughout their career to retool. We need as robust of an educational structure to support practicing surgeons as we have for students and postgraduate trainees.
