RockTenn (RT), Norcross, Ga.,broke into the ranks of the Fortune00 at No. 449 with nearly $5.4billion in revenue. The annual listof top U.S. companies, ranked byrevenue, is published by Fortune magazine.Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., which RT acquired last year, was ranked No. 369 in 2011.RT is classified in the packaging/containers category, where it ranks sixth out of seven companies. The only other paper-based packaging company in the category is MeadWestvaco at No. 4 in the category and No. 406 overall with $6 billion in revenue.
