Bovine viral diarrhoea: A playground for virologists and a target for eradication

In their review article published in this issue of The Veterinary Journal, Sasha Lanyon of the University of Adelaide School of Animal and Veterinary Science and her colleagues provide timely and comprehensive information on the pathogenesis and diagnosis of bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD), an infection characterized by unique virus–host interactions and a complex clinical picture ( Lanyon et al., 2014).
