Kinetic and kinematic gait analysis in dogs

This article reviews computerized force plate analysis and kinematic gait analysis techniques currently used in dogs. The necessary equipment is described and the basic principles of data collection are reviewed. These techniques are frequently used in experimental studies evaluating gait and their use as clinical and diagnostic tools is increasing.
