According to CNPC Exploration and Development Co., a world-class large oilfield has been discovered in the Basin of Sudan 3/7 Zone, the biggest overseas production base of CNPC. CNPC oil explorers found a Tertiary major oil reservoir with a buried depth of over 1400 m in the Palogue structure with an entrapment area of 80 km~2 and a closed amplitude of 260m.
