Sen. Dianne Feinstein's bill to overhaul FDA's oversight of the cosmetics industry will be a compromise bill, with the California Democrat finding middle ground among various stakeholder groups, according to Personal Care Products Council staffers. Speaking Feb. 23 during the "Washington Report" session at the association's Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Fla., Executive Vice President of Government Affairs John Hurson told attendees that Feinstein will introduce the bill once she has brought a Republican sponsor on board.
