Elizabeth Arden is modernizing its namesake cosmetics and fragrance brand to better position the range for international growth, the New York-based company announces.The initiative is expected to accelerate organic sales of the brand in foreign markets, but particularly in Asia, Western Europe and Latin America, President and CEO E. Scott Beat-tie writes in a letter to shareholders included in the firm's 2011 annual report.The effort, which will include contemporary packaging and a tighter SKU assortment, will be executed first in "key accounts" in North America and Europe in 2012, followed by other accounts and a global rollout in 2013, Beattie says.
