Shengxiong Energy Constructs Polycrystalline Silicon Project

摘要

On April 2nd,2007 Xinjiang Shengxiong Energy Development Co.,Ltd.(Shengxiong Energy)started construction of the 500 000 t/a metal silicon and 10 000 t/a polycrystalline silicon project in Tuokexun Energy Heavy Chemical Industry Park,Turpan,Xinjiang.The 500 000 t/a metal silicon project will be executed into 2 phases.In the first phase,an investment of RMB600 million will be used to construct a 200 000 t/a metal silicon project,which is going to be completed in October 2007.The second phase will include a 300 000 t/a metal silicon project with an investment of RMB700 million.Construction on the second phase is planned to be started in 2008.The 10 000 t/a polycrystalline silicon project with a total investment of RMB4 billion will be executed into 3 phases.The first phase with a capacity of 3 000 t/a is expected to be started in 2008 and be completed in 2009.The second phase with the same capacity is expected to be started in 2010.
