The redefinition of regulation: culture change, culture shock

The redefinition of regulation of health professionals in the United Kingdom since the publication of the Kennedy report has meant a shift in the balance as far as self-regulation is concerned. That change gives the pharmacy profession trementdous opportunities to develop its quality assurance processes in a positive way. However, this means a culture change, which has been a culture shock for many pharmacists, Ann Lewis, Secretary and Registrar of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society told the congress.
