A fruitful discussion took place at a Community Pharmacy Section meeting on 4 September during the Congress of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIPP) in Singapore relating to remuneration of services and the role of leadership. Governments need to be encouraged to invest in the concept of pharmacy from one of "making drugs" to "making drugs work better". Within this framework, pharmacy leaders discussed FIP member countries' experiences of lobbying for remuneration for pharmaceutical care services. Sonia Sanghani report.
