New combination inhaler launched

Seretide (salmeterol/ fluticasone propionate),the first UK asthma inhaler containing a long-acting bronchodilator and a corticosteroid, was launched this week by Allen & Hanburys (see p340). The company says that the new combination inhaler is indicated for the regular treatment of asthma and provides patients with 24-hour control of asthma from one inhaler.
