BASF is further strengthening its global polyurethane (PU) service and production network with a new system house in Tianjin, the largest manufacturing base and trading centre in northern China. The new site is likely to begin operations from 2012. A Memorandum of Understanding on the project was signed in Ludwigshafen, Germany, during a recent visit of a delegation led by Mr. Wang Zhiping, the Vice Mayor of Tianjin Municipal People's Government.
