Whenever election time comes around I always spare a thought for the suffragettes, and shall remain eternally grateful to Mrs Pankhurst and her followers for what they did for me. Having fought at such cost to themselves, it is unthinkable that I should not use my vote. In this frame of mink, I take all elections equally seriously, whether it be electing a goverment, a vote among parents for a place on the board of school governors or, indeed, the election of pharmacists to the Council of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
