摘要

Case C was a 53-year-old unvac-cinated female who did not report mumps in the past, developed irreversible senso-rineural hearing loss of her right ear after a week of fever, together with a painful right ear and swollen lymph nodes in the right side of her neck. She also developed balance disorders and ipsilateral tinnitus. Two blood samples were mumps IgM positive and showed an increase in concentration of both IgM and IgG, indicative of a recent mumps infection. A month before the onset of complaints, her daughter had laboratory-confirmed mumps.
