"U.S. economic growth is expected to pick up speed this year, with real growth near 3.5 percent. Consumer spending should remain stable, with capital spending and technology sectors showing some life," said Jeff Thredgold, president of Thredgold Economic Associates Inc., sharing his views on expected economic and business conditions for the remainder of 2003. Thredgold presented his insights on real economic growth (growth adjusted for inflation), consumer spending, and capital spending during the keynote address at the TPJ Symposium in Scottsdale, Ariz., March 17.
