The method involves sending a search request of configuration information (40) defining a receiver`s telecommunication terminal (4) towards an operator directory server (48), by a synchronization server (47), on reception of the information. The information is recorded in a business card (30) of a directory space (56). The business card (30) of a database (32) of a sender`s telecommunication terminal (2) is updated. The search request has identification data of the receiver terminal.
