Watts Specialties Inc. has introduced its new W-90 pipe cutter-positioner for cutting 90-degree pipe saddles. The machine allows operators to weld pipe flanges manually or automatically. A well-fit pipe saddle is key to producing strong welds with proper penetration. The company says this machine simplifies the process and eliminates the need to wrap patterns, hand cut, and hand grind. The unit is based on simple cam-arms, which allow fitting branch pipes up to 12 in. in diameter against a trunk pipe of any size.
