This year POSCO adopts the sectional responsibility management system and segregates CEO from chairmanship of the board of directors, to heighten transparency of management. POSCO chose the reformation proposition to make its organization into five sectors for prompt decision-making, at its board of directors' meeting. It is to be approved by the shareholders' meeting of 24th February before implementation. POSCO is reorganized, from the past structure of Ku-Taek Lee, CEO & Chairman and C. O. Kang, President, into the five sectors of operation, marketing, stainless division, finance, and personnel, holding the chief officer of each sector responsible for management, led by Ku-Taek Lee, CEO & Chairman.
