HYSCO Posts 357.5 percent Rise in Ordinary Profit and 313.6 percent Jump in Net Profit

Hyundai HYSCO was found to have made sharp increases in its annul sales and current-term net income for 2002 compared with the figures for 2001. Hyundai HYSCO said January 29 that it reaped 1.58 trillion won in annual sales for 2002, up 9.8 percent from 2001, 79.6 billion won in ordinary profit, up 357.5 percent and 67 billion won in current-term net profit, up 313.6 percent. But, it reported 112.6 billion won in operating income, 24.6 percent lower than a year ago due mainly to a steep rise in raw material cost.
