The nation's five automakers manufactured 4,272,000 cars last year, up 21.6% from a year earlier, posting the largest-ever annual record, thanks to a stable increase of 5.1% in domestic sales and a high rise of 29% in the overseas sales, according to the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association.
