China's STS Crude Steel Production Expected to Account for 37% of Annual Output This Year

Boosted by an increase in the production in the first half of this year despite a drop of 13% from a year ago in the first-quarter output and an expected recovery of the global production in the fourth quarter of the year, the global production of stainless crude steel is projected to increase this year compared with a year ago, discontinuing the downward trend of the global output that has been extended for three consecutive years since 2006 when it posted 28.4 million tons.
