Hyundai Steel's Rebar Steelmaking Dept. has recently hit a new record of using the bottom electrode 4,062 times in melting steel scrap at its electric arc furnace. It means that it has extended the durability of the bottom electrode, which had been usually used 1,200-1,300 times, by almost four times.
