POSCO Specialty Steel Supplies Open Die Forgings to DSME

POSCO Specialty Steel, which is strengthening its forging business, has recently shipped out its open die forgings, which were produced at its No.2 forging shop, for the first time to Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME). Those steel products that POSCO Specialty Steel supplied to DSME are three kinds of open die forgings, that is, intermediate shafts, propeller shafts and rudder stocks, for use as sternposts of vessels. The Changwon-based specialty steel maker delivered these forgings in a rough machined state to the shipbuilder, which will use them after their finish machining on them.
