Teenagers with cancer: an improving picture

The Teenage Cancer Trust's (TCT) 4th International Conference on Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Medicine (London, UK; March 30-31, 2006) highlighted areas in which research and care still need to advance. Yet, Tracey O'Brien, Centre for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders, Sydney Children's Hospital, Australia, is not alone in her view that "the UK leads the rest of the world in clinical care of young adults with cancer".
